5 June

We are still in Thassos old town! We have enjoyed being here as much as Golden beach, and the spot we are parked in is so practical.

We haven’t eaten out much, properly, only the odd gyros or club sandwich. Tonight we are at Stratos Beach Restraunt. We have already had a couple of drinks here on the odd evening, free wifi and beer is €2 a pint. I had lamb kleftiko and Andrea had chicken souvlakia. both wonderful, and so was the garlic sauce with hot bread we got as a free starter! However we did eat at Theagenis in Skala Potamia about a week ago, but I forgot about this until pasting in the pictures!

Prices are surprising here, if you come to Greece bring mushrooms, cheese and milk, but leave your vegies at home! On Monday we went and bought about 5 days food and it cost us €14.

We will be leaving Thassos in a few days time and returning to the mainland heading east. I am also waiting for the gps module which I bought on ebay and my sister has kindly forwarded to Beach Bar Island!

Back at Thassos. They beat the daylights out of the octopi with table tennis bat things then wash them for ages.

Wednesday was a wet day, we had a massive fry up and lazed in bed with the heating on.

My lamb kleftiko, whoops, sorry couldn’t get the camera out until I finished. This was at Stratos, wonderful!
